Education

In September 2018 I completed the CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) courses at Oxford TEFL in Barcelona, Spain, achieving a Pass A grade. I completed my A Levels in the UK but then decided not to go to University, and instead have spent the past 7 years traveling, working and teaching in various places all around the world.

Experience

I have experience teaching English to students of many different ages and abilities both in a classroom setting as well as one-to-one tutoring sessions and conversational practise. I currently live and work in Barcelona as an au pair, looking after children aged 8 & 10 and teaching them English. I also work part-time for KiDDo, a company providing extra-curricular English classes for school children, where I currently teach 3rd and 4th grade. I spent several months living in Mumbai, India, where I volunteered at a creche teaching English. I also spent one month volunteering at a Government school in rural Nepal, assisting teachers and leading classes in a number of subjects including English, Maths, Science and Social Studies.

Hobbies

I love traveling and exploring different places, learning about new cultures and meeting people from all over the world. I also love the outdoors, anything from hiking and camping to exploring the mountains and swimming in the sea. One of my biggest passions growing up was dancing, and I actually spent 3 summers teaching Dance at a summer camp in the USA and then went on to be manager of the staff and Alternate Director at camp. I also love reading, cooking and music and enjoy spending time with family & friends.
